Also, a new second wicket partnership record of 213 was set by Tillekeratne Dilshan and Kumar Sangakkara in the second innings, and a new fifth wicket partnership record of 267, set by Mohammad Ashraful and Mushfiqur Rahim (BAN) which surpassed the old record of 203 set by Lahiru Thirimanne and Dinesh Chandimal (SRL) earlier in the match.
